Hey everyone! It's been a long time, far too long, that I have played any role plays. As such I want to start a new one up. This is a classic free-style role play. I want people to really be adventurous with their characters. There are a few rules however: 1) each player must help the other players to achieve the goal, 2) each player's character must be totally original, 3) only one paragraph per post (after the first post, so you can create your character). After I get a few people, I'll begin. I plan on updating at least once a day.

The crow's cawing echoed over the tangled woods. At the base of a small trail gathered a group of would-be fortune seekers. Clasped tightly in each of their hands were the expensive parchment notes that brought them here. They all read, in an elegant gold leaf script, instructions on how to find this certain spot, and a promise of great fortune. They were all signed with a large, beautiful signature: The Paymaster. The spot where each of the participants gathered was unmistakable. It was the only opening to these dead, gloomy woods. It was like the maw of some fiendish creature, opened wide, ready to devour any unfortunate traveler to who dared step inside. An air of anticipation loomed over the participants as the day grew darker, and the midday sun dropped below the tree tops. Still, there was no sign of "The Paymaster."
