Wow, 80 hours is crazy. Glad to hear you're moving forward, though! Best of luck finding a new job in law enforcement.

Doing fairly well here. I still check RV nearly-daily even if nothing happens (although not sometimes on weekends, lol.) I'm finishing up a Master's Degree in Computer Science and will be moving to California this August! Things are getting exciting.

Sorry about the well extremely late reply lol.
But no I wasn't given a taser just a riot baton, tear gas, pepper spray. That fun stuff, but I left the prison after a year there. 80 hours a week right out of High School wasn't the brightest thing I've ever thought of. Now I'm enrolled in college currently unemployed but I saved everything I earned from the prison, but paying for college out of pocket is making that go away. Life is slowing down now. Looking for a job and going to Law Enforcement classes part time.

How Is everyone? I don't see that many posts daily anymore

Congratulations!!! My friend recently moved to Tenn. and she became a correctional officer recently.

Sounds like you have a career for life, just be prepared to take a ton of from the inmates!

Spent 5 and a half weeks training for my new job and now I've been there for about 2-3 months now.

It's is definitely a lot easier than I thought it would be and it's a lot easier than anything else I've done/tried. lol

Only thing is the hours. They are long and draggg.

Full Time Correctional Officer for TDCJ at the present.

Looking about going part time and going to college. ( fingers crossed that I get moved to part time )

So how has everyone been? Going on 4 months a lot can change.
