@Jack: Dad bought one of those cords today. It's a 3-year-old piece of crap to begin with (it has XP *gasp*) and it's mainly the screen. Thanks by the way.

@Lunar: Mom is off work due to chemo, Dad is kinda busy on other things, and I accidentally made the bill $90 over usual due to my anime so kinda out of the question for now. Of course, I don't have one of those stores here to boot. Don't worry, I will keep in touch with the Village (and Homestuck!) at the Library.

The only bummer is that I had a few villager pieces to work with, but that can wait.

Get a new laptop. Or just take it to Fry's Electronics. Those guys can fix just about anything.

Have you tried connecting the laptop to an external display? Anything with a VGA or HDMI port will do. But if the whole laptop is acting up, then it may just be its time.

Laptop is acting up (again, surprise) and is likely not to be operating soon since the monitor screen is going shot. Essentially bound to using library once a week due to this mishap. Won't be on here (or the internet) much till further notice.
