Is this all you can do? Climb on your high horse, troll the forums, and try to make other people look bad?

I do not think I am the one who wants to grow up Musc.

I have no problem with people posting fake posts, or the mods stopping the fake leaving posts. My post was meant as a joke. If you were fooled by that, then shame on you

Think before you post.

That's funny, pity it was obvious your post was made to challenge this topic's integrity

This ladies and gentlemen, is how you back off when you are beaten. "I was only joking" "Nah I didn't mean it like that" "You misunderstood what I meant.."

No, you weren't. Time to grow up kid. I am always happy to admit when I am wrong.

Sorry for derailing the thread, I will be happy to take this to PM from now on.

Oh dear, I figured you would try and nitpick this, albeit with a failed attempt :)

Can you not see the difference here? That is an annual prank whereas this is a joke that is used probably once or twice a week here (random guess on how often, however it's certainly less than annually), so that analogy really has no bearing on this. Not to mention, that DAY is known and in fact celebrated for jokes or 'pranks' on people. To go a little off-topic here, if you can manage to be fooled on that day, shame on you not them.

Please think before you post. ^_^;

Now, I did like the topic with the "adult link" inside. That kind of originality was a good change of pace. =3

But enough of the "I'm leaving, grr" *signature maybe, lots of lines* "joking" topics. Please. -.-

May I have the url to that topic? :shifty:
Finally! Those topics were all fine and dandy at first, but when everybody started using them, it just became very annoying.

No, it turns out they are genuinely annoying; annoying enough for this topic to be made.

Despite probably being guilty of it in the past, a leaving post in here shouldn't be made to gain attention. It should be made to inform your friends and foes that you won't be around for a certain period of time so they can wish you luck, or just so they know they will need to contact someone else if they need to talk to you. I personally am much more inclined to post in topics that are simply letting us know you will be gone for a while, than one with an attention-seeking satirical title :)

Although there are no rules against such topic titles, they have proven to be rather annoying, confusing and slightly overused.

In the past, as a joke, people used to make topics titled "RS2 hax and bot" or "rsc private server" or something along those lines, which was okay the first few times, but that eventually became a problem, so we had to ask users to stop. Not only was it annoying, but it wasn't exactly something we wanted our new users to see when they came to introduce themselves. Similarly, we do not want our users to see more topics that suggest a permanent leave than a temporary leave or a first time introduction.

Now of course, there's nothing wrong with the occasional joke (or in this case, the occasional fake leaving topic) so all we're asking for is to cut down slightly on the amount of fake topics in here, just so that it doesn't become too frequent of a thing.

Thank you :D
