Oh man I did too. I blame being several states away as my defense.

Happy five years, Snake! :D

Erm, I mean, congrats on the 5 years! It was cool to read through your story, wish Cosmos still made his comics ¬_¬ They sound funny.

Anyway, August 2nd marks a half-decade that I've spent here. I've never made a leaving post, taken a break, or any long hiatus. I couldn't; I love this site too much! And so, I dedicate this post to Runevillage in my thanks for such a great five years.

A Look Back at the Past

I remember when I first learned about Runevillage at one of the famous drop parties we used to have. I thought Henner was the King of Drop Parties or something, because he seemed to be the one in charge. When I talked to Henner, he mentioned Runevillage and I immediately joined and made my first post: "HENNER YOU'RE AMAZING ADD ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" :oops: Of course, look what I've turned into! :D

Runevillage had some of the best comics and jokes here, especially ANI. Anti-Noob Industries was a comic made by Chaos1313 (now Cosmos) in which a poor unsuspecting noob was lured into an intricate machine death trap. Perhaps it was a carefully planted cabbage sending him into a giant set of spikes, or a the traitorous potato throwing him into oblivion. Either way, they were always fun.

Eventually I made a clan, Tetsusaiga (Yes... I was obsessed with the anime "Inu Yasha" back then) and brought them here to make a clan forum. When private usergroups were added, I made a secret forum and rivaled in a petty Cold War with Pyro3000's clan "Special Forces." Although Pyro probably won't admit his clan's patheticness, we were both actually very bad clans that didn't get anything we said done. #-o Either way, Pyro ended up chasing me here, and no amount of angry mobs can seem to get rid of him! :P We've always been rivals and friends, and it definitely wouldn't be the same without him.

When cats were put in the game, I created Kitty Co. It was the game's first pet shop, which we made around 60k a day with. Not much, but back then it was a lot for me. Of course, I got a bunch of people there to join here as well, including Thyker, while we warred against an angry employee that wanted more than an equal share of the money and actually. I remember arguing with her in posts here, too. 8-[

A year or two past, and I eventually was asked to be an Assistant Forum Moderator, a rank that no longer exists. Pyro, still my rival, got forum mod, but I soon followed as I realized I was totally up to helping out more, and even still I'm always looking for stuff to do that suit my abilities. ^_^;

Eventually I became a Board Moderator and here I am today! 8) One of the oldest members of Runevillage (but not even close to THE oldest group for sure). I've had quite a history with this site, and I hope it continues. Hiker really has a great thing going here. To think that we've stuck together as a site. I think that what we've really seen is some of the crust of the site leave, and the inner core, the real meat and flavor, stay here. We'll get the crust back, but right now we're a very good community whether people realize it or not. The tremendous resilience we've shown is nothing short of miraculous. As long as we have the kind of people we have now that appreciate the site and keep coming back almost every day, we will live on and grow stronger. :D

Thanks for all the great times and memories, and here's to five more years! :coke:
