Why are we still arguing over this? I understand your side Shadow, you've been discriminated against due to something that happened quite some time ago. Among the community you are appreciated greatly. I don't know if I've said that, but you've been an awesome part of RuneVillage since you joined. If it bothers you enough, you could just ignore those who are flaming, but I respect your decision to leave. I don't know to what extent this has been occuring, and I really don't care to know, honestly.
I understand where you're coming from in your decision to leave, and while I wish you would stay, it seems as though leaving is in your best interests. You will be missed and you were appreciated greatly.

you both are fighting over something that are in-between you but still why on this post...just talk it over MSN or something like that. I mean that if you came back (Shadow7) then just stay back...i meant that like you can just ignore the people who attack you with flaming...
I have had this over the internet and in Real life. right now for instance...there are some people that anyone me for once. I mean that i hate it like you hate it too.

This is one thing I definitely want to clear up. The Legends Rank is 100% a reward given. Its purpose is to recognize outstanding members of the community. When I was voted in the first batch of Legends, we were given no power. Reporting posts didnt yet exist. The purpose of the Legends is most certainly not about the limited power given to them.
You can make a better case about moderators being about trust and not reward, but I, and many other people would recognize that the administration having that kind of confidence in you is its own reward.

While that's true, I believe that if the rest of the staff and the admins trust you enough to put the powers in your hands, it's pretty much a reward in itself. That and the personal satisfaction of knowing you're helping this community and that they noticed it.

I'd like to think that this entire situation is a series of misunderstandings and biased siding with one or the other parties involved. I've always known you to be a good person, though the same can be said for those in opposition to you. Each side has its own story and its own logic. I'm mainly speaking of this latest incident (with the story) that has seemed to brought you to the final deciding point.
That being said, I would much prefer staying on a neutral point in this. I understand your reasons for leaving Shadow, and I hope you do fine in life, wherever you find yourself.

I dont know how you can claim you never got any thanks from the staff for the work you did here. What do you call that yellow symbol you have? Legend isnt just handed out to anyone, you were recognized for all the help you gave. Same thing goes for your promotion to mod. I dont know what you were expecting, some sort of certificate of thanks signed by Hiker and mailed to your doorstep, but to say that you were never recognized for your work here is ludicrous.

Furthermore, I am not complaining about never getting any thanks as it's something I have never asked for nor needed; it is an entirely different thing for staff members to actually be an obstruction, however. On the other hand, given that this is true, I do find it entirely inappropriate to say that I can't say anything bad about staff members, no matter what the do me, on the basis that "it's a thankless job".

I have not seen or heard anything to show that is remotely true. If that was taking place, you definitely should have PMed an admin about it.

Im sorry that this situation was brought out into public. It shouldve never left the mod forum. I can tell you I was personally outraged that it was. Just as outraged as when you brought private information outside. Things said in there are supposed to be said in confidence, unfortunately that never seems to be the case anymore.

As for me being a hypocrite? Im sure I am. I have certainly never claimed to be perfect, nor do I aspire to be so. I just do the best that I can. I personally know I did nothing wrong in this situation, I was hardly involved. What I do know is I have a problem with what you have now done twice. Causing all this controversy, and stirring up trouble yet again. Both times you had the opportunity to go out calmly and with class. Instead of doing that you have done the opposite, trying to prove to everyone that you were right all along. Instead of saying "Since my return to RV I feel that there is lingering animosity from the staff, so its best if we just part ways," we got all this. I dont know why you chose to do this. Certainly its under the guise of "bettering RV" but we all know this kind of thing helps nobody. If I were to ever get into this sort of situation, I would never ever do what you have done. Stop trying to show everyone you are perfect.
