That would have been lame due to the fact
that the new 007 films are going to be for
quick-thinkers so they can keep it fast paced.

If they're gonna keep doing "Last time on 007"
type moments, it'll get annoying.

They were wondering how Le'Chiffre figured
out that they knew his tell earlier, but when
Vesper said "Mathis wants me", James immediately
put 2 and 2 together and figured it out.

Oh, I see. I knew about the part in the hospital when Mathis gets tazered in the back, but I barely know anything about poker so a lot of the poker-related scenes were confusing.

They should have made it a bit clearer, especially since during that dinner scene where Bond realizes it, they never mentioned the tell or anything. They could've made a quick series of flashbacks or something before Bond realizes it.

No, no, no.

He realizes that Mathis is the bad guy.

Mathis tipped off Le'Chiffre or whatever his name is
about how LC has a tell and Bond knew it. That's
why Bond lost the hand when he was sure LC was
bluffing due to his tell. Mathis tipped LC off so
he could win and it took a while for Bond to realize
that it was Mathis that told him.

Later in the movie Mathis goes to visit James in
the hospital because he didn't know 007 knew he
was the bad guy.

He gets a taste of reality in the form of 25,000 volts
and he's carried off.

I think, he thinks, mathis is in trouble. Because when he storms off with the knife out of the casino hall. Thinking something is up, he is worried about the girl. Then he thinks that mathis could be in trouble?

Kinda doesn't make sense, but I think thats what you mean

I can't remember the film that well.

Okay, somebody who remembers the details, please answer. Remember the short car chase? The one where Bond swerves to not hit Vesper and the Aston Martin goes flipping like 10 times?

Right before he got into the car, he and Vesper were eating after he just won the poker game(s). So she leaves and says "Mathis wants me." Mathis was the gray-haired contact guy who was with them during the poker game. So right when Vesper leaves, Bond seems to remember something and says, "Mathis..." and then runs out, sees Vesper getting shoved into the car. Cue car chase.

What made Bond realize that something was wrong with Mathis?
