Ok, not really. The Tigers are gonna kick butt. Though you have to wonder how their bullpen is gonna hold up. Miner should be good, but Tim Byrdak has never pitched more than 45 innings in a season, Bobby Seay has never pitched more than 46 1/3 innings, and Todd Jones sucks and is 40 years old.

That's a good but not complete list of our bullpen.

Rodney and Jones both give me a heart attack when they trot on the field. Neither play consistently. And Jones never plays well even when recording saves. The guy manages to even make 5 point leads surmountable at the bottom of the 9th.

The Tigers staff are pretty sold on this "Francisco Cruceta" dude. He's toured with both Cleveland and Seattle, and reports have been high with winter ball for Mr. Cruceta. Read about him.

The Tigers sport some pretty young bullpen talent, some of which have made some serious appearances, some who haven't been all too impressive but still shown promise, and even a guy who hasn't played at all.

Quite a few people forget about Yorman Bazardo who looked really good in limited play last year, Virgil Vasquez who wasn't all that good last year but the guy is still young and is somebody to keep an eye out for, and the next Justin Verlander in Rick Porcello. He's yet to make his pro debut, but he's got all the potenial in the world and should more then likely make his pro debut this year. He won't be in the bigs for long, but he's flash of talent and expect him in the next 2 years to be Nate Robinson's replacement.

Hopefully Tigers staff will be wise enough to put Chad Durbin into the bullpen this year full time. He could be that rock the pen needs to get through those tough games.

All and all it's a good time to be a Tigers fan, those 30 win seasons have all been forgotten, soon after we take the crown from Boston we'll be the next most hated team of the world until we lose to whoever.

I don't mind, I hope they can knock off the Red Sox or Yankees and be the AL representative for the World Series to meet the Brewers. 8)

Yeah, cause now that the Brewers have Eric Gagne they won't lose a single game. :-s

Sure Willis kind of a question mark, but he can be a dynamite pitcher, no doubt about it. Heres a quick look at what the 2008 Tigers starting lineup will look like:

C - Pudge Rodriguez
1st - Carlos Guillen
2nd - Placido Polanco
SS - Edgar Renteria
3rd - Miguel Cabrera
LF - Jacque Jones
CF - Curtis Granderson
RF - Magglio Ordonez
DH - Gary Sheffield

SP: Jeremy Bonderman
SP: Kenny Rogers
SP: Justin Verlander
SP: Dontrelle Willis
SP: Nate Robertson
CP: Todd Jones
P: Joel Zumaya (Out until June-July)
P: Bobby Seay
P: Tim Byrdak
P: Zach Miner

We need some reliever help, but other than that, most of the AL won't even stand a chance against the Tigers. They're STACKED.

*Anchorman* Don't act like you're not impressed. :-s
