Why? He's had these thousand jutsu since the beginning of Naruto, Kakashi is more about sneaky tactics than flashy jutsu

To be fair, this is as close to the original inspiration for the Rasengan as Naruto's going to get, judging by what Killer Bee said. That, and Naruto's never going to bother to learn a truly new jutsu that might actually be useful (you know, like fireballs or something).
