Yea it showed on "G4 tech tv" for a short time in their widescreen anime
stretched annoyingly upward series or shows. I just can't stand when
people do that to shows...

It's not a tremendously long series and the DVD's are quite easily
available to find most of the time. I was hoping that more people
had seen it, but I kind expected it since it's not on cable anymore.

I believe I've mentioned to you a few times how I like the series. I don't by any means own it, but my friend does, so I watch it there.

I got into it but kinda stopped watching it, I liked it though.

I have the entire series on dvd and I have to count it as one of the best series out there in animation and story. Ranks up with Ghost in the Shell and Record of Lodoss War.

I got it on our little list of Anime's we'd recommend there.

The show I'm talking about is Last Exile, which is in all aspects the
single best anime I've ever seen to date.

The general storyline is that there are two nations at war and they're seperated
by an area known as "the grand stream" which is a stormy windy area of the sky
that seperates the two places.

The mechanics of the show are my favorite aspect. Most, if not all, of the ships
and vehicles are some form of flying machine. They run on some made-up kinda
fuel that for whatever reason they have in this world. The fuel is then used with
steam engines to propel their ships and act as power for the cannons.

The music is also some of the best I've heard in any show. Most of it is classical
just as the wordless ones during the show. I'd also say the opening and closing
songs are rather good too.

Voice casting especially for the english version is definately an all-star cast.
I've seen it in japanese a bit and do prefer the english definately.

It's got pretty much everything I look for in a good show. Great storyline too
and very original in every aspect. I'd describe the story more, but that'd pretty
much just spoil the entire show.
