I have no damn clue how someone got my account through password reset or 2FA. I rarely play nowadays, logging on once a month at best to do kingdom or something. The longest I played was when 120 slayer was being released - I only made it 110 before I burned out though. I didn't use a bank pin, but its a 7 day waiting period since seeing as last login was 30 days ago, it wouldn't have mattered. When I started seeing near-daily password requests last month, I did virus scan my computer and nothing came up, that's why I just ignored them thinking 2FA will protect it lol
Not that mad or anything about it since I haven't been attached to the game in a very long time, and it just gives me an excuse to finally cancel my grandfathered membership that I've been paying for years for hardly any value.
Today marks an official end to my Runescape days. There is absolutely no point in continuing since my account is apparently compromised through password reset (and obviously no, I have never shared any details about my account with anyone). If I ever build it back up (probably by buying a bunch of bonds or something and sell for gp), it'd just get stolen again unless I babysit it every 6 days and I'm simply not going to do that. What is even weirder is the hacker starting playing Old School Runescape. Just seems completely random to me.
