Today I realized that RuneVillage's private messages table apparently decided to clear itself out, I think probably when the tables were self-repairing themselves from the General errors. There was literally one private message in all of RuneVillage (and Sighence had it, the lucky jerk.)

I'm not happy about this obviously, but there's nothing I can do about it now. Because of how utterly vast RuneVillage is and its low level of activity, I hadn't taken any extra backups since the server move 4 months ago. I'm going to try to change that now and take sporadic backups of the necessary portions of the site, but really...tables shouldn't just delete themselves. It's almost as if little Bobby Tables dropped in for a visit. :( So, what this means for you:

THE GOOD NEWS: I restored the backup that I had from when we originally moved the server from RV to PS on May 15th. All of your old PMs through the years should be available again.

THE BAD NEWS: Any PMs you made or received between May 15th, 2014 and September 25th, 2014 are lost. I'm really sorry!

We've been getting a lot of General Error forum crashes lately--three in the last three days, I think. To my knowledge it's nothing super horrible; RV used to get them all the time, and I can automatically fix them with like 2 clicks. I have no idea why they're happening all of a sudden--if it persists too much, I'll look deeper into it. In the meantime, if you get a General Error page, please let me know (like if you have me on Skype or Steam or something.)

In any case, I was able to modify a few files behind the scenes and fix the problems, so we should be good once again. If you end up seeing php errors at the top of any page, I would very much appreciate it if you could copy and paste the errors and send them to me. Thanks!
