This, you dirty Fuzzy Bunny. At least I was involved in your lynch.

Flawless game played by Penguin, BARRING THE FACT THAT YOU INVESTIGATED PHANTOM AFTER JACK'S CLAIM.

Other than that, Market deserves props for sure. He controlled the end of the game. Very proud.

Hehe, now my turn for a curiosity. If Penguin had not come out as Detective so soon and I got the first claim out there as intended, would you have believed a story of "I investigated you night one to see if I could trust you"? You do know for a fact we can wreck Fuzzy Bunny together when we trust each other to be villagers, after all. (I get the feeling I already asked this...)
I truly did believe Jaron would avoid putting in such variables as framers and insane detectives because adding those things to the first game of new players would potentially upset their experience, which was going to be a selling point of the argument.

Um, yeah, but it generally takes more than a day or two. If/when we both somehow live that long.

You make it sound as if you did a change up night two... Is this the case or did you plan to knock off Siggy night one?

I want to say Chris was the target, but since we communicated only by PM it's hard to tell exactly. I think we all just assumed someone else was sending in the kill. By plan of who too kill I meant we had talked about, and more or less agreed on a target by the way.

Sighence was a new target for N2, he must have come off as more of a threat. To be quite honest I wasn't really heavily involved in the Mafia discussion for the first like 2 days because of my own stupidity. I wasn't aware of how to Reply All... so my replies only went to one person, which is also why I failed when I tried to set up a Google Group for us all.

I was so blown away by how clueless the Mafia were at who the Doctor was. Jackstick was the only person that tried to get Phantomrose to blow her own cover and prove she was lying. I expected him to die the very next night, haha.

A few things happened here.

In most all of the games I've hosted, the Detective almost always dies early. In a game this big, losing the Detective would've been a fatal blow to the Village, I think. Even though the Medical Student only had a 50% chance of successfully protecting, I wanted to help ensure the Detective didn't die immediately. Unfortunately, several other things happened at the same time:
  • The Village didn't lynch anyone for 3 of the first 4 days (and again on Day 8, I think.) I thought D1 would go without a lynch, but besides that, I expected more innocents to die up-front.
  • The Mafia didn't send in a kill on Day 1, which further helped tilt the scales a little bit.
  • The Mafia lost Thedefencema due to extreme inactivity, which further helped tilt the scales a bunch.
  • 3 of PenguinGuy's 6 investigations came up Mafia, which was a staggering amount. He is by far the most accurate Detective in a game I've hosted.
  • Jackstick kept his mouth shut until precisely the right moment. I think most anyone else would've countered Phantom within the next Day phase and then your Doctor is gone and your Detective is soon to follow.
All of the sudden
(all of a sudden)
All of the sudden there were 16 players left and only 3 of them were Mafia. The would've had to win at LEAST 4 days without losing a single person all while lynching Villagers to come anywhere close to winning, so the number-of-nightkills-equals-number-of-mafia idea was spur-of-the-moment, but I really really liked the idea.

Along the same lines of how Detectives always seem to die in my games, I've always disliked the role of a Framer. Any self-respecting Village would lynch the first Detective to give a false result (unless it's obvious the game is kooky) so Penguin would've been gone and then once again you're on really thin ice. I also usually dislike a Muting role because RV is inactive enough without me forcing people to not post. In a real-life game it would be a great idea. In a game where I'm kicking two people for not playing, it's not going to work nearly as well.

Long story short, this was the biggest game I've ever hosted, and it had a huge impact on a lot of failed lynches and made the smaller things like Penguin finding Mafia have a really big result. If I ever got the chance to do it again, it would be more balanced (but there'd also be a lot more power roles.)

But I did have a lot of fun, and I thank all of you for letting me be your host.
