Haha, I can't believe it. I just wrote up a huge long thing to give to you, and then at the last second when I went to mess with the exclamation point in Poor Shark, I hit backspace while the cursor wasn't on the box and lost EVERYTHING.
Let's try this again, shall we? Actually since this'll take forever anyway I think I'll patch FlyFF. I've been wanting to hear the music again lately, to match it up with Houkago. (Ooh, 7136 files to go.) And I'm listening to the Steins;Gate ED if you want to try for another Country Train-type thing like last year.
Okay, sure. But as soon as this is over I'm going back to Pumpkin Party in Sea Hitler's Water Apocalypse! I've been on a spree with that for the last two days and I don't want to stop it just yet.

1) Hi!
2) Nope. Turns out doing a webcomic takes up, like, ALL of my free time.
3) HA HA NOPE

It took me 13 days to finally do this, which I guess means I'm not as excited about the future as I was last year. And certainly, I'm on such Limited Time that I've settled into a pattern: commute, work, comic, games, special stuff. It's a rare sight that I get to watch some anime or practice my Japanese these days. So instead of asking questions about the future, I'll recount what's going on now, and you can see how things progressed over the last year!
Sure. I'll make a post sometime this week so that I don't end up at the bottom of the list again this time next year. But it's Monday and I need to sketch out next week's comic first.

Work: Going well at the moment. Today we nuked magnolia's path because it has all sorts of whiny problems and can't run sh. ...I think it might've worked. How's the table? Right now it's very basic; can't move any columns or anything, no horizontal scrolling, gonna try for row/column/neither selection tomorrow for the facelets component. Protocols are probably hella awesome or non-existant, I figure. Is everyone still there? I can't imagine anyone leaving, but then again, we lost a few this year. Anyone new?
Haha magnolia! Man I don't think that ever got fixed. We bought crabapple instead.
The...the table? That ugly thing? Ew. If I had my way we'd get rid of that, but right now it's the only thing that can generate a nice-looking thing from a tab-delimited file. I guess there were some fixes to it shortly thereafter; it's got a table-wide filter and the columns are sortable I think. Jing made some columns highlightable too but man. Chaaatay really kind of stepped up his own table and you finally get off version 2.1, so you get to use that instead. We're on 3.4.1 now! Bet you didn't think you'd be up to date there, HUH?
You know, I'd lean closer to hella awesome given that everything is now technically a protocol. I don't think we had the task graph either at this point last year. Wow, what a drastic change THAT is. Now everything revolves around that thing.
Is everyone still there? No. Justin announced his two weeks noticed the day after I wrote that, actually. Jim left a few months later, and Jing quite a while after that. But anyone new? Heck yeah. Surprising though it may be, we have *counts* 7 new people from last year. It's crazy! I'm like 5 out of 13 seniority-wise, but I guess 2+ years at the same job will do that.

My bookcase is totally stuffed. Got three Peanuts books--I'm partially through 1952. I recently found an unread Calvin and Hobbes book. Did you get around to that one, or continue to forget it existed?
If Crankshaft made anthologies I'd have them all. (Note to self: When I get my own place, buy SEVERAL BOOKCASES. Good plan!)
Oh god really? Did I seriously not read any Peanuts strips in the last 12 months? I didn't read the Calvin and Hobbes book either. But lots of bookcases! I like that idea!

Went to the NLCS Game 3 last night! It was pretty darn awesome and the entire stadium was stoked to be there. Go Cards!
HA THEY WON THE WORLD SERIES. Game 6! How awesome was that? You don't know! But I do! Ha! (Answer: awesome.)

I've been playing my PS3 SO MUCH lately. I have 14 games that actually have cases (more than my Wii I think), but I also have SO MANY DLC games, like the new Castlevania one that Zach and Corey apparently really enjoy. (Score.) I have 645 trophies, 9 of which are Platinum, and am level 12.05 (two thousand points behind Pyro's 12.30.) Where are you now? I'm going to guess...13.60. Unless what I'm worrying about happens. Then I'll guess 12.75. Let me know!
Ha! I don't play it as much as you do, but it's still impressive. I have 17 games now. I assume the three new ones are...Final Fantasy XIII-2, Skyrim, and...uh...hmm. I dunno. I can't seem to log into the PSN either so I don't know which it is, haha. Anyway, I'm level 13.38 with 1016 trophies, 16 of which are Platinum. I passed Pyro and Edgar up ages ago. And you're technically correct about what happened, although it didn't seem to have as much as an effect as I had worried it would. I think it was more that Skyrim took me over 100 hours to Platinum, ha!

I have 26 DS games, which is apparently the same as last year! I already expect to get more this month, though, along with my one 3DS game, so that'll increase.
27 DS games--I think Ouendan 2 is the new one. I have 6 3DS games now--Kid Icarus Uprising is AWESOME and far and away the best of your collection.

My Last.FM is at 52,301 plays, with 1,046 for Black Rose / Green Sun and 8,028 for Homestuck in general. I never thought I'd pass up Supporting Me, but I'm fine with it, really.
75,837 plays, the last four of which are the Steins;Gate ED. Okay it's a good song fine whatever! 1,470 plays for Black Rose / Green Sun though. That's--that's over one per day for the entire last year, and the song had already been out for a while. That's crazy! Topsummoner are you paying attention? That's crazy!
12,132 Homestuck songs total which brings me to an average of 11 Homestuck songs per day over the last year. Since I have my iPod on shuffle and HS music is such a huge part of my library though, that's not surprising.
Iffy wrote:
Speaking of Homestuck, one year ago, Act 5 Act 2 was starting. In 12 days, Act 5 Act 2 is ending. Goodness gracious it's been well over a year. But since Act 6 is supposed to be short and Act 7 a drop in the bucket...is Homestuck over? If so...was it cool at least?
Pfft no. Act 6 will be as long as Act 5 probably. We're only at A6I3 so it's technically not even half over? Or maybe it's exactly half over, assuming there's no sixth intermission. Because having an intermission at the end of an act would be stupid, yeah.

The anime thing is completely misleading because I tend to rewatch entire series a lot, but regardless, it says "1 Week, 2 Days, 3 Hours, 10 Minutes". Watch anything awesome lately?
No. I'm not even gonna check because it's misleading like you said. But you DID rewatch Avatar, TTGL, Angel Beats!, and a bunch of Bakuman AGAIN. I've got plans to see a few new things but I've been busy with my comic and games and Solais which is a game and whatever!

I guess it proves a point as to the lack of posting and chatting that has befallen RV lately. Also that most of the coding I do is at work, ha!
...Wait, it's been 353 days but WhatPulse says 13 months have passed. Who the hell does their math?

And of course, Poor Shark! Two days from now, comic #24 is going up. You'll be posting #75 tomorrow, I think? It's tough to imagine that out of the past fifty comics you've done and I will do, I only have ideas for two of them.
And neither will be next week's, haha. I had 176 non-bots last month, and just this week actually put a plan into action. (SPEAKING OF WHICH OMIGOSH HOW DID
THAT TURN OUT? I say
THAT because I don't intend to say it here, but I hope you know what I mean!) Get going on those additional plans! Make me proud. (Which, if you've stuck with it, you've already accomplished. <3)
Comic #24? Which is that? *checks* Oh haha, Plants vs. Zombies. Not a bad one I guess. So I posted #73 today, which means yeah, I managed to make it through another entire year! That's so scary. My archive is so big now that I can go back to old comics and laugh at a few of them. The funny thing is I know which comics you have in mind, and one of them has STILL never seen the light of day. It's a Zelda one but I don't know how I want to put the layout.
Oh, you mean THAT? It actually went better than expected if you can believe it, but I'd still say they're lacking. It had a nice positive effect though!

2) Yep! It's name is Diamond.
3) Nope! Gave it away.

Hope you enjoyed 2012 thus far!
It's been okay. Kinda so-so. Grandma's not doing well and I totaled my car. But other things are going okay so I GUESS THAT COUNTS FOR SOMETHING?
