Those that were going to make their money made it well before the IPO. Bono and all the main investors were rich before it started openly trading. I laughed at a lot of relatives and friends that bought dozens of shares, ruining their savings. I, on the other hand, went out and purchased 100oz in junk US silver coins and a few gold coins instead. :weird:

The more I read, the more I realized Facebook is and will be a crappy investment for the normal people. It has peaked. Unless FB does some major changes to get more revenue, it won't go any place. I think shares are near $30 now too.

 sounds like something activision or EA would pull. I think I heard EA's CEO said stuff about charging $1 to reload your gun in the next battlefield game and people would do it because they would have no other options lol.

Wouldn't be surprised if they actually did that. In my opinion EA are total scumbags.

When the Facebook stocks come onto the market very soon, Mark Zuckerberg (facebook's creator) will be worth approximately 15 billion US$.

And Bono from U2 will have made more from his investments in Facebook than his entire musical career. The amount of money these people are going to make is insane. Facebook stock is going to go nuts.

I havn't had an ad on YT in like 5 years...If you don't have Adblock you deserve ads.

This. It's just another advertising platform that'll be far more accessible for regular people. It'll definitely be used for spam as well as genuine purposes. Couldn't care less one way or another. Can't fault a man for wanting to grow his company and website.

It appears I'm not the only one in my family that dislikes this idea. A cousin who now lives in NZ posted on Facebook that he's part of the trial. He's fairly big over there because he sued a hospital or something and his thoughts have been expressed to quite a few people
