I also liked how they merged the airport and train station. All other airports in the Netherlands are much smaller and less interesting, Schiphol is usually used for international flights... Las Vegas Airport was pretty cool, if I remember correctly. I definitely remember that the airplanes passed above the highway, and they were easily viewable from there... I really didn't like Miami (back in 2004 I think)... took us hours to collect our luggage. My favorite would probably be Duesseldorf International Airport, always liked being there as a young kid...

Sea-Tac, in Washington between Seattle and Tacoma.

Certain carriers' flights require being crammed into a small subway system. That's why it's so terrible.

I'm guessing Greyhound? Their terminal is sketchy as hell. Megabus picks up/drops off at Union Station, which is wayyy nicer.

Yeah the greyhound terminal in Chicago. Most other terminals support different bus companies. That's how the one in milwaukee was.

Though my girlfriend and I took a trip there and it was marred by a freak flood, the scrapping of her car, and an extremely long, tedious bus ride home...Ohare was nice. And after the water receded they towed her car off the freeway for free. :?

Big fan of the airport in Billings, Montana. Not sure why, when you consider that they have the absolute worst employees in the history of baggage crews.

Denver's airport is very nice as well. Heathrow is nice (Terminal 5, at least), but not incredibly distinct. Berlin Schoenefeld is nice - very well organized, easy to get around, etc... Tubingen I didn't like so much.

  • Chicago, Illinois (pretty cool passage under the runway)
  • Denver, Colorado (clean and spacious!)
  • London Heathrow, England (I just remember it as being neat I guess, once you got past security)

On the flipside my least favorite airport would definitely be San Diego, California, followed up several strides later by St. Louis, Missouri, I guess. With the exception of Denver, I've probably been to those two the most, so I don't know if that factors in at all, but they just don't have the same feel as any of the others I've been to.
