i take pictures quite often, and will keep this habit for a while. i enjoy it. the pictures that i take with my good camera, will all be submitted to the future mainpage(which is where my pictures have been going for the past while). but the pictures below are just taken with my phone and are not mainpage material. i hope that these will be like a slight teaser for part of what the mainpage will have :)

as always, comment! i love reading the feedback!

a graffito!

(not quite at work but shhh)
i was out at vancouver a couple weeks ago, and these are the cranes they use to load the ocean liners.
Image

after work, myself and 2 of the guys i work with went fishing to a small lake a couple miles from the job site!
at that lake i caught a 27" jackfish
Image

this is at the jobsite. we are working close enough to an airforce base that they fly overhead every couple days. i wasnt fast enough to get my phone out in time, but this is the jetstream they left behind. one plane banked, and the other had to copy it as he tried to chase down his opponent. its real neat to see them dogfight and try to out maneuver the other overhead. occasionally, you will see a small missile deploy, and surge forward towards the leader... only to have the missile ignite and burn up completely in the air, leaving no harm done.

I plan to!

Actually, as winter sets in, I want to try leaving the shutter open for like an hour.
Catch the glowing horizon, and a ton of stars overhead as they come out.

Don't know how it will turn out though.

i think it looks neat how the ice is still reflective :)

morning! a couple days later, we arrived at the job site.
i had been following another crew, as this job required 2 crews to complete.
i rolled down my window and took this photo from inside my truck.
Image

this image, was shot from on top my truck :P
i needed to be on something tall to be able to look out over the tree tops. that was a frosty morning.
Image

werniuk creek.
i stopped here for lunch. the creek wasnt entirely froze, but i cropped that distraction out haha

as fall began to settle, and the surface of all the waters in the area froze for winter, we came across a beaver dam. this one was deteriorating, and the water levels began to fall, which left the ice suspended in the air.

these pictures are under it, looking down a channel that led into the main pool.

im not sure which of these two pictures i like most.

a couple weeks ago, i had taken these pictures of a 'sign'....
this advertisement is of a guy advertising his welding business. he has taken old scrap parts(i see old pipes, springs, propane tank, gears, chains, fire emergency sprinklers, drill bit....), welded them together, and painted it.
he welded it together into the shape of a man with a jetpack holding a sign.

below, I FOUND A STARGATE!!!!!
naw, but really, this is a stress relief section of a pipe i came across. this far north at night in the winter, it gets to be as cold as -65degrees C. and in the summer it can be +45 out. so, this piece will expand and contract in the temperatures. preventing the pipe from contracting far enough to pull the thing apart.

Yeah keep them coming, in order for me to get anything as beautiful as those pics above I'd need to make my way past san Francisco and into the red wood forest, which is one of my goals before I die.

Oh and I somehow missed the pics of the claws, OMG those are awesome lol I love it. Like I said keep them coming!
