I just read through this thread out of curiosity and after I finished, I saw that this was the most recently registered account... 3 days ago. Looking at the member list makes the situation look even more dire. There were around 75 accounts registered in the last year. It's impressive that the community still has a fighting spirit trying to grow despite a long period of very little growth. I wish you guys the best of luck.
As a side note, I'm curious what the perception of the general growth and shrinking of the forum has been since creation and why. I was mostly around from late 2003 to early 2006 and what I saw towards the end of that time was the quality of our guides falling behind tip it and runehq. This resulted in a slow decline in activity as we stopped getting as many new members. From reading this thread, it sounds like there was a surge of activity somewhere in the 2008-2009 range. I guess I'm just curious whether there was another large growth period and what caused it.
There was a minor flurry of activity right after the site lost about a years worth of content due to server issues. But more than anything it was a false positive, the site never really started to recover, the decline just temporarily slowed.

Any updates? anything i can help with?
- We now have a new Clan Chat Moderator - Jimmybe.
- Clan Citadel is going along very strongly. Next week we will have a secondary resource plot (Stone) and that should bring a lot more people into the citadel.
- Recruiting is going well - Fair few new members are in the clan (I can't find any option to track clan size over time).
We're looking to keep supporting those final two points and just keep building things up each week.

Sorry never really use clan chat before, is invite the only way for someone to join? I want to be in RV CC too
You just need to go to the clan chat tab and type in 'Runevillage'. It should let you join as a guest and then somebody can invite you to the clan properly.

So far, I think it is a great idea that Eadwulf has a steam group running. Now that GW2 is coming out in a bit, maybe we can create a guild, and then put the forum's link in the guild info box or something? The guild idea for GW2 was also Eadwulf's idea, and this will probably bring in some members that play Guild Wars 2.
The head start is in 5 days. If anyone's gonna be a part of that and would be willing to recruit members, I'm sure we'd all love you forever.
