I agree with Macho, most of us are quite pissed off with Jagex, we've decided to not raise their game above any other here and become a general gaming site, but for some reason we still find it important to copy all their announcements and updates

I think we should just use our front page for news about our own site, not anyone else's

This is exactly my point, Jeroen. I believe it would be in the best interest of our site, both logistically and...emotionally, for lack of a better term.

I meant instead of hundreds of topics like Halo, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Bioshock e.t.c.

But i realise that there is a Game Discussion area, which is where you would create such a topic.

Seeing as we are no longer an exclusively Runescape site, I was wondering why we still update our home page with announcements from their page. Is this something that we should perhaps do for other popular games as well (such as WoW, GW, Halo, etc.)? Should we discontinue this practice altogether?

This is not to say that Runescape discussion would no longer be a topic of discussion on the boards; on the contrary, it surely would continue to be.

I guess my point is that I am not seeing much of a rationale for cluttering our homepage announcements section with updates about one specific game.
