Grab the Music Notes, head back through the gate and play piano: upper E, upper F, upper E, upper D, upper C, lower A, lower E, lower G, lower A. After playing the piano successfully, search piano and acquire To Do List, Shrinking Recipe, and 2 Shrunk Ogleroots.
The major difference is that the items required are NOT in the cupboard as previously stated, they are instead inside the piano only after you play the notes successfully. (The piano is the safe, as mentioned in the Diary from the table inside the witches house)
