they were working on the mail server, and then Glodenox reported an FTP problem, which was fixed, and then they went back to the mail server work-- however, in fixing the mail server, they had to change the IP#-- often this will cause an outage, but only for a few minutes, because we have our own name server--- (don't know if any of you have ever noticed, but our DNS is thevillagehost.com, a 'hiker company')
anyway, that was the likely cause-- perhaps there are some mirrors of that server that had to propagate as well....
