My personal favourites (though I haven't read through all of them yet) are Jackstick's and Stale's. I think this should go to the left of posts, somewhere under your postcount though, like the donation ranks. It would mean adding new usergroups for every single rank in order to get it to work automatically, but I think it would be well worth the effort in the end.

Hiker dismissed that suggestion when we were discussing it, he said the space would be required for donor icons and such. Plus, the space could become quite crowded if someone is very active behind the scenes.

Question: How come Forum MOD, Board MOD, Chat MOD, Forum Admin, Site Admin, Chat Admin ranks don't get these?
It's not really necessary. Village Legend and Village Staff are only receiving these as many of the people with these ranks currently have ranks showing over them. (IE: Jackstick's Board Moderator rank shows over his invisible Village Staff rank - this would negate that.)
The only person who would really require a Board Moderator/Forum Moderator rank would be Tweedy or Mogo, but as they're Administrators they go hand in hand.

Will these rank images be given by mods/admins or are we allowed to put them in our selves?
Will they be fixed or just added to the signature?
I'm suspecting you will have to add them yourself. I don't know a mod which would automatically add mini-sigs to your signature space. Besides, some users may, for whatever reason, not want to use the rank images.
