Why did that start anyway?
In the Legend's forum they declared it 'pink month' in august. So everyone of the forum moderators, plus people that could enter that forum, would post in pink until this month was over. People were rebellious, like the 'village staff' so they intern posted in orange. Other people tried other colors. Ironically, these colors were difficult to read, all of them.
