It's funny how just because one site put this in their guide, everyone else is now.

May someone make a new addition to the guide about the new update regarding the Imps? It'll be much appreciated!

On the northwest side of the volcano, there are two areas with 2 imp spawns. You should set your traps here, 2-3 per spot (depending on if you have 80+ hunter or not).

Before you start, you should kill the imps in the area to get around 10 beads. I failed a trap an average of 1 in 6 attempts at 99 hunter.

You should bring a bow and arrows. The imps will teleport around and it is easier to kill them to make them respawn next to your traps. You also have the chance of getting more beads or a challenge scroll. As far as I can tell, it is impossible to catch an imp without beads. Any color will do. Smoking the trap has no effect.

Run back and forth between the 2 spots to reset traps. The best way to bank is either:

A) Glory to Edgeville bank, then glory back to Karamja.

B) Run back to the docks and use the Pest Control bank.

Imps give 450 exp per caught imp. This is not good training for several reasons:

1) Imp traps are expensive. 25 will cost you over 20k!
2) It takes a while to release each imp.
3) Beads are hard to get!
4) All this is easily gotten around, but it is still slower than a good 2 chinchompas.

Here is a picture of me catching imps.

If you still need how the imp works I can post that in a bit.

Anyhoo, Ill help anyway I can.

The Hunter Xbow gives a range bonus of +55 (Making it the second best ingame, next to Karils).

You can use Kebbit Bolts and Long Kebbit Bolts.

Kebbit Bolts are made from Kebbit Spines that you get from Prickly kebbits. (The spines can be chiseled into 6 bolts or given to the guy who gives you the bow, who will make you 6 bolts for one spine and 20 gp). Same for the long kebbit bolts, except they use Long kebbit spikes from Razorbacked Kebbits.

It fires somewhat faster than all the other xbows, and I love it lol.

Chinchompas at lvl 63 is a BAD idea. They keep failing. Id suggest taking up chinchompas at about lvl 70 (80 would be perfect). I would also suggest going back to the falconry at lvl 69 and hunt Dashing kebbits. It is VERY fast exp from what I heard.

Oh also, Jungle camo top and Desert camo top have hunter level requirements..

Jungle is 4 and Desert is 10, If i remember correctly.

What else do you need done on this guide Knil? Is it just imps or anything else? :|

Yeah, I still need info on the imps, but I also need to add reward information for some of the traps and stuff about the hunter crossbow and potion. Unfortunately, my internet has been dead these past couple weeks and I haven't been able to work on it much. :?

You said that raw meat isn't lost when a trap is triggered? How do you get it back? I lost mine... or is it lost when you catch something, but not when it gets free?

Raw meat can always be gotten back. It will either pop up in your inventory when you dismantle the trap, or appear on the ground in front of your trap.

I went to Red Chinchompas and they failed more than the Red Salamanders, so i'm trying red salamanders again to see if they don't fail as much.

My advise is, don't start a new creature right as you get the level to catch them, because you'll fail a lot.
