If i had investigate Monk it probably wouldve been the same result but i wouldve argued both sides dragging it out.

I already had huge suspicions of you though, and a little suspicion of Monk. Hence voting for you before Godders posted. If it had been Monk that was investigated I would have kept my vote on you. Basically my vote for you was happening either way. When you then posted something that mirrored the ploy I tried before it only reassured me of my decision.

That was literally because I was out of the house and on my phone, and saw I was on the verge of a lynch, so I just wanted things to slow down until I could post normally. I would have done the same as a villager.

HOW DID YOU GUYS LYNCH TOP AND NOT MONK.

Rage aside, that was one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. I don't care that we lost, after I died I didn't expect to. We were playing agressively, and were punished for it by the detective. We made the gamble of trying to lynch Godders and not simply bus me. If Top had bussed me and I died quietly, things may have gone differently, but I don't mind. When I was lynched I knew we had a slim chance, but I did not expect Top to get lynched D4. EVERYONE was connecting me to Monk, and Godders came out with an innocent on Top, BUT YOU LYNCHED TOP. When you guys said godfather ploy, that applies to BOTH Monk and Top. If anything it applies to Monk more since he was more likely to be investigated. I expected this to come into play D5 and get Top lynched, but I still don't understand how it happened D4. I don't mind that we lost, it's that we lost on such bad and hasty logic.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY:
Metagame.

That's your opinion, but I didn't even need to use logic, I used experience. The play he made mirrored almost exactly one I've made before when I was the Godfather, the post he made was almost identical to the one I remember making about waiting for the detective to respond. It just screamed mafia godfather. Think what you like about the logic, but I was 100% sure after that.

I don't do subtlety. You were last in line to be lynched because I was suspicious of Top before you, but you were never going to be fully cleared until the end of the game / your death.
I'd like to think the wall o' text was a productive one, though! More so than my usual ones.

'Fraid not. I saw Kik's massive wall o' text, read it, saw his (frankly kinda blindingly obvious) trap set out for me, and saw that there's just no way he's mafia short of a very far-fetched plan. Taking his bait would do nothing good, and backing down publicly would likely draw more heat. The only winning move was not to play, so I didn't.

Doe the record, Day 3 was probably one of the funnest days I have ever been a part of. Just an utter shitstorm of shenanigans from everyone.

I do not think I have ever BS'd as hard as I did that day, and I regret nothing. Speaking of which, Kik asked during that day why I didn't counter-claim detective or something to that effect. Obviously I couldn't answer it then so I'll answer it now. With one cleaned kill and two claimed detectives, you would beleive the first claim. The mafia knows if they hit the detective or not, so claiming detective with the real detective still alive is suicide. The only case where the mafia could do this would be a LYOL situation, since they don't have to worry about retribution since they already won. Trying to argue that would have been hard, and seeing as I got lynched, probably wouldn't have worked. My plan would have worked though if Monk posted in time to change his vote, which I'm sure he would have :glare:

How would everyone feel about a RVET sponsored global game of mafia?

Could be interesting, what exactly would it entail?

What ploy, Aragorn?

I would imagine the ploy of "Get cleared to the town by hoping the Detective investigates me, then clinging to the fact that I was investigated for the rest of the game".

Day three? Yes. You voted for the right person when it mattered the most--Godders could have been killed immediately after had you taken me out, and Monk lynched under the suspicions I laid out on the table.

Yeah I'm pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to fight it out. I'd have noted that mafia almost never start trains like I did and that you and Penguin jumped on gleefully, but it would've been a tough one.

Your ploy, Top, was totally see-through, mainly because I tried that as mafia godfather a few games ago and you acted in exactly the same way. I was 100% sure you were the Mafia godfather after that.
