(Can't give much more criticism, since I'm not an english major. That's Lander's job.)

I hope you guys enjoy it, or if anyone reads it that's cool too. I'd appreciate any suggestions, feedback, criticism, you can leave anything you want.

Today has been a thinking day,
You’re soon to find out why,
How a little boy, no more than five,
Almost made me cry.

Right there he stood, in front of me,
His mothers grasp in hand,
The expression on his face struck me,
As anything but bland.

The mother kindly told the boy,
How much that she loved him,
With a sigh and with a shrug,
He ignored her with a whim.

I never will forget her face,
Her frown made it so clear,
How much she waited for his love,
An end that wasn’t near.

I wish I could have told the boy,
Knocked some sense into his brain,
That he wasn’t doing any good,
He was only causing pain.

But something stopped me in my tracks,
A memory so vast,
I was watching history,
A scene straight from my past.

For I was once this little boy,
Love that wasn’t shown,
I regret it now, my ignorance
For memories are all I own.
