"Since you're in the military, I take it you've had quite a bit of training about survival and how to get in or out of areas silently? Could you give us a few tips we can use to complete our mission? Those sets of armor also look like they're pretty useful."

I'll be dropping out of this RP, if it wasn't already obvious by my blatant inactivity. It's not you or the story; actually I find it to be one of the most interesting and fun RPs I've ever been in, but in my stupidity I picked a character that I quite literally cannot RP, and with my being on the computer barely every-other-day lately I don't feel I have the time to start over.

I'm also going to move up the 'meeting' with these soldiers to "Saturday night" instead of Sunday.
Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, the group will need to find out a set of things important to the situation.
1. A manifest of past and present students
2. if possible locations of missing students
3. find and/or disable any research labs in the area
in the long run, a goal would be to escape to an allied nation.
This also involves figuring out where they are exactly... there's more but those are the main points.
I figured I'd clue people in in case that would help spur on more interest.
So... I suppose what I'm just going to do at this point is zip to the 'meeting' at the shoe factory.
I'd rather not let this die, and I'll keep trying to keep it going if I can. But if there's just no interest, I don't know what else I can do. As always I'm welcome to new additions if anyone else wants to join.

BIC - BOOM 23:00 hours Shoe factory rooftop Saturday night.
"He said he'd be here like an hour ago right? Maybe they're full of **** huh?..." Stephanie said checking her phone for the 20th time "I'm gonna be pissed if they just ignore us."
Tabitha interjected "Maybe.. they got detained. If it is true we are where he says, it may be hard to reach even for them."
Stephanie simply glared and just kept fidgeting. A while later a clunk sounded from the far end of the rooftop where one of the dark figures stood. He quickly removed his helmet to reveal the same soldier they had met earlier.
"Good, you're alone. I had almost expected you to set up an ambush." He said pulling a device from his belt. "This is an un-adulterated GPS that you'll be able to use to get back to the USA... we can decide that later, but before you do.. My CO has asked you help us out. We can't launch a massive offensive or rescue this deep without good cause. So that's why I'm here to ask you to see if you can find some things for us.
If you can find a manifest of all the students, we may be able to get an idea of what we're up against. We also believe this area is home to some kind of research which explains the abilities you kids have."
"What about the missing kids... are they just lost? Can you help us get them back?" Stephanie interrupted.
"If you can find them and tell us, it may be possible to save them, but I can't make too many guarantees. It will be hard enough for you all to escape if you're even willing." He hands the GPS off to Stephanie and catches sight of Tabitha again. "I never honestly thought I'd see another one of you again.. Who's command are you under?"
Tabitha stood blankly "My.. Father? I am Tabitha Schablone if that helps."
"Nevermind, that tells me enough. It's a fitting name. Tell your 'Father' that General Winsdale has been looking for him."

"Yea... um.. why should we believe you?" Stephanie says skeptically. "For all we know you just want a more private place to kill us."
He takes his hand rubbing the side of his forehead. "You're right about that, but if I were going to kill you, I'd have done it when you were attacking me in my armor. I know it wasn't you that knocked me down, that was the close air support. But then you kids chased me down and attacked. That's when I heard you speaking English, so I knew I was onto something."
"Wait you mean to say the black figures are you? US Marines??" Stephanie interjected. "How is that even possible? Agg Anyway... you can explain later.. meet us at the old abandoned factory on the south side of town. It's the long 4 story brick building. And no tricks.."
"If the US has technology like that though, why are we all here? In Asia apparently?? Tabitha says insistently.
"That's what we'd like to know. I thought you especially would have answers. You may be able to help us figure that out, and then we can try and get you out of here.... that's a stretch though. Tomorrow at 22:00 local time." He says abruptly and quickly climbs the fire escape. Moments later a shadowy figure lifts off rapidly from the roof.

Tabitha jogged to catch up and came within sight of the man. He pauses for a moment as soon as he catches sight of her staring back until he backs away. "You kids have been lied to.. I'm from the US Marines.. This place is nowhere near North America... "
"Wait what?? Impossible! That makes no sense." Tabitha said making her way up to the front of everyone.

Stephanie lit up a cigarette with her finger. "Cool, well.. it's not like we have official memberships or uniforms. We just meet up at the old shoe factory once in a while to practice. Usually Fridays, weekend nights, whenever we have time. The place is pretty isolated and people around there don't really ask questions anyway."
"And what about those guys we ran into, do you know them?" Tabitha said pointing back behind her.
"Never seen them before.. it's troubling because at first I thought we were all of them. But they seemed to have a good grasp on their powers and abilities.. They even had pet terms for people's ability type. This could be trouble if the school has people like that working for them...
...As for the black figure things. The first one we saw was a while back. It came down and tried to kidnap Erin, so Joseph and I fought it off. Then last week another showed up, we chased it until we could shoot it down and fought it on foot but... uh well.. an accident happened and that house caught fire. I wanted to run, but Erin was afraid it would spread, so she put it out. That confirmed my suspicion something was up. Instead of the fire department. Soldiers showed up and just started firing. I made it away but... you all know Erin never showed up again."

The left attacker still wiping his eyes during the illusion, the second on the right charged at it and thrusting his pipe into it. The pipe glows and flashes momentarily until it goes dark along with the attacker (he's totally discharged now)
The leader kneels up swatting the rock down with his frozen cat-tail "
shifter I'll teach ya" He says jumping into the bed of the creek. The water splashes upward and draws to him crystallizing on him in clearish brown jagged armor. He reaches into the water and seemingly pulls up a long spear out of the water and marches up out of the creek ready for a fight.Tabitha was getting up facing her right side toward the leader and making a fist with her left hand. "We need to get through. If we have to we will do anything necessary." I must not shoot him but.. we have to get out of here now! I just hope this is enough.. She pulled the 9mm from her right pocket just barely enough for the leader to see the back of the gun and buries it back in her pocket..
The leader stops abruptly and lets his spear dissolve away. "Funs over guys... lets get going. We have to get out of here too anyway. The cops are closer than I thought." The one of the flunkies grabs the other by the arm and leads him down the creek following the leader as his armor melts away.
"Thank goodness. Now we can get out of here." Tabitha says getting onto the pipe and walking across.

"Since you're all here.. " Stephanie stopped, "I had no idea there were this many kids around here with abilities. But anyway, I've been trying to form a group to both investigate the disappearances, and overthrow the overlords responsible. There's something suspicious going on, and I think the town and the school are behind it all. We could really use more people, but obviously nobody wants to come forward on their own, so finding members is tough. But Nick, you can teleport or something, and Tabitha, I never pegged you for being insanely strong, but I guess that's your deal? And if anyone else has anything they could join. "
Tabitha stopped "Yes, I know you will not tell anyone, but I.. just can not get involved too much in this. I hope you understand."
"Ok, but we could really use someone like you. We still have yet to capture one of these machines and find out what they are. We think it will clue us in to what's behind all this."
"I will think about it.. Do not make my decision effect the rest of you. I just should not right now." Tabitha said looking away. It would be too hard to meet up with them with her schedule. Part of her wished she could join.

Nick was so annoyed at what was going on. He then teleported again behind the leader. He then sweep kicked his legs put from under him, and punched him in the face, breaking his nose. Before he could retaliate, Nick teleported back to where Quinn was.

Jack is a telepath, mostly using this power to read other people's minds (an ability he often uses during fencing to read his opponents moves, or tricking them by illusions. He can decide whether to show the illusion to a single person, or to a group of people (for example, his allies, so they know why the opponent is behaving oddly, or all people in range.) If any of this seems somewhat overpowered, feel free to call me out on it.

The two attackers both charged up with sparks jumping from any little metal stud on their outrageous getup. The one on the right swings his pipe at the shoelace, burning it in half in the process.
Tabitha tried to run back pushing too hard on the soft ground and falling. She swings her hand through the ground sending a splash of dirt and mud into the eyes of the left attacker temporarily blinding him. While trying to wipe his eyes he seemed to spark and glow more wildly.
"Well crap if we can't touch them... " Stephanie said grabbing a dead branch up and igniting it in her hands. "I can at least hold them off from getting to me."

Right as Quinn thought the two were about to charge, they did. And a split second later, after Nick vanished and reappeared in a different spot, both of them collapsed to the ground in confusion, their shoelaces having been tied together. Bet their leader is having second thoughts now, Quinn figured. He winced and lowered his head a little; it felt like it had started throbbing on all sides. Dang it, my headache from Monday is coming back...nice timing...
