Tahu, I want you to spend a week without once getting on RV, just go to those rummage sales and ride your bike or walk around the neighborhood. Start a baseball or football game with the neighborhood kids you see sometimes. See if you care as much about when the next Battlefield starts then.

Kikori, don't you have my MSN? craftyllama@gmail.com <3

I could spend a week without RV, but not without my computer. These neighborhood friends are as geeky as I am half the time.

Go outside. Make friends. Enjoy your youth being social with people face to face in the great outdoors rather than complaining and making needless arguments on a Runescape fansite. When you're forty, fifty years old do you want to look back at this summer and think, "Man, I wasted a lot of time just making random posts and waiting for the next Battlefield topic."? Or would you like to think, "Hey, I met some pretty cool kids that summer. Glad I didn't waste it inside on my computer."?

Live your life to the fullest, and stop complaining about every detail that doesn't go your way.

MIKE! STAY! MSN! SKYPE! SOMETHING :(

It was worth reviving this topic just to know you're ali-i-ive...

And as for your points, I prefer computers myself, but that's because my living's gonna be made off 'em. :D

Because the future host of BFX is also one of "the people still in it [that] can't hurry up"

Also, if an RP-specific board you joined dies or is not interesting to you, just find another that's focussed on fighting instead of serious RP's.

You have to either patiently wait for the current Battlefield to finish or find a new roleplay to join. Some forums dedicate the entire board to RPs, maybe join there as you wait for the finalists of BFs to die?

As for what to do when you're out of an RP... play a game or something. It's not like you're on the RP 24/7 anyway. people usually make 1-3 posts a day and that's it.

Otherwise everyone would simply be picking Samus all the time.

Someone hasn't seen the first season of pokemon >:O

Tahu explosions aren't just heat. they have a lot of force behind them. And a chemical burn isn't heat. A chemical burn is when the chemical has ate away at your skin.

So do I need a testing ground for any character? No. However, consider someone who wants to use the full extent of a character's power, like you, so they don't have to bend rules like the mistake I made in the first battlefield. Same character, even, Uchiha Itachi. An immense amount of chakra, a very autokill-ish flame technique, an illusion that will leave anyone paralyzed for about half an hour, flawless shadow clone useage... and still mortal. Where's the limit? That's for the poster to find out, and make. Should you make a topic to test out the moves yourself? No, that's what the judges are for on a normal battlefield, as well as other posters. You see the moves as in check, usually, because it's your ideas. However, other people, especially those who know the characters, will know when you're not paying attention to the move's limits or the consequences of using it (such as the flame technique, Amaterasu, using up ~30% of Itachi's chakra). Another part of character control is correcting the mistake... and usually by NOT god-modding, but by editing in or later posting the effects you missed.

If a character is so blatantly overpowered that even the best of character control can't bring him / her down to a mortal plane, it's common sense; don't use him / her.

However, that debate's past. So's the one about Lewa controlling liquid. The point is that in the actual Battlefields, we'd have less of that, because it would be in a separate topic. You could even go so far as to say any character used in Battlefield needs to have been cleared in a testing ground.

First sentence of "Burn" on Wikipedia:
Quote:

A burn is an injury caused by heat, cold, electricity, chemicals, light, radiation, or friction.
And thus this is where all the debates usually begin. Some assumptions need to be made in roleplays, sure, but some just go too far.
