All in all, the forums are generally only up for people to look back on the old times anyway; if you want to chat with people you're better off joining the Discord. :D

Speaking of which, I'm getting the following error message whenever I post a comment with an img tag :?

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/message_parser.php on line 71: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is no longer supported, use preg_replace_callback instead

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 4527: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3724)

Your message contains too few characters.

I mean, I can just dump the URL of the image, but eh lol

(Realized the [quote] tag triggers the error too so I have just disabled BBCode for this comment)

(Okay, on more testing, it seems to work with any BBCode...)

Oh, nothing was really lost here, because I was keeping backups. :) But yeah, for a few hours, David deleted like...most of the forum.

Oh, if they're avatars or signatures or posted images, it's probably just because they're old and the image hosters removed them. Tinypic and Photobucket eventually started locking down and removing things, so anything hosted through those are probably gone. Imgur has been the go-to for a while now.

If you mean forum-based images, I don't think I've encountered that lately. The forum itself still looks like it used to (unless there's an error message on the page, lol).

So this is what the other topic about RV dying was referring to. So quite a bit of history was lost then, huh? Damn.
I'm worried that it won't take much to compromise the forum and everything be gone.
I'm also having issues with images loading. Strange... could have something to do with an extension (uMatrix) interfering with sites manipulating the DOM correctly. Seems like images are loading but not actually displaying yet HTTP requests are actually going through.

*Floorboards creek*

Help, I've fallen through. This place is falling to bits :lmao:
I'm okay, by the way, I survived. Just in case anyone wants to know.

Saltwater taffies. They’re delicious, but terrible for your teeth. It may take decades, but the damage will eventually be done.

Plus you have to unwrap each one individually, and the wrapper always rips and sticks to everything. It’s just a headache.

I'm hoping, if I can get enough people, to host a Mafia game contained on the Discord server. There'll be a dedicated channel to separate it from the main chat. If you're not already in the Discord server, join with this link: https://discord.gg/DgtPWPM

Here's what I posted in the server about the game:
"I'm thinking about hosting a forum-style Mafia game in the Discord server. I think this could have an interesting blend of the live conversation and antics of chat-mafia, and the longform discussion and analysis of a forum mafia game.
As such the structure and rules will likely be similar to a forum-hosted game, and the setup will be relatively 'vanilla', no weird variant rules and obscure roles. Expect me to use some sort of semi-random setup like Matrix6 or 2of4, depending on the number of players interested."

Currently 5 players are signed up. I'd like to get 9+ if possible. Projected start date is this Friday but it's subject to change.
