An Interview With: Elanthiel

1. What is your birth name and your age according to your birth certificate?
I'm known as Martijn in Real Life, and have been like that since April 26, 1989

2. When did you first join the village and how did you find out about it?
I joined in May 05, when a mod of here (I think its Jinxy, but I'm not that sure after all those years >_>) told me of this place in RS. I signed up and became active.

3. So, how has your time here been?
Mainly ups, a few downs alongside the road, but those were more related to personal Real Life issues then anything else. I look back on the "early days" with a happy smile on my face.

4. When did you first get involved in the staff side of things and what made you want to do it?
The first was RVBB3, when I got invited to join the team by A5chow. After that, I got the hang of it all. Joined the villager (missed an activity check, and I still blame Gamey for holding it during my holidays ;P ), the Database Team, and got active in the Submission forum as well.

5. This being a runescape fansite you must have played runescape sometime, do you still play or have you quit?
Hard core player I still play a few hours a day, actually.

6. What would you say is your favourite forum?
From a sadistic point of view, I'm based towards the permanent red card and the topic reviews forum (both in the darkest depths of the moderating forums). My favourite public forum is either Hikers Campfire or RuneVillage.com Submissions and Corrections. Also, the Questions forum is one I used to spend a lot of time in, answering player questions (back in the old days, where I still was reasonably up to date - which I am no more - I used to post on almost every topic).

7. Have you made any good friends while being here?
Sure. Most prominent being Jinxy, although he's rarely here anymore. But quite a few others as well (you know who you are)

8. What do you find most enjoyable about RV?
The atmosphere. I visit some other forums as well, some a lot more busy, others travelling less fast, but it's hard to find a place on the internet with a friendly atmosphere as here.

9. How is life with a blue name different to that with a normal?
I've got a green name But I'm very thankful of the "promotion" I received

10. Do you prefer to have all the extra responsibility?
Of course, who wouldn't? I enjoy helping out others, and doing my best for the community. And it's nice to get a "thank you" in return

11. If given the chance, would you take up a future roll of staff mod/admin?
I think I would, but I'm not sure yet. We'll see when/if that moment arrives, I guess
