On Monday April 4th, Euph posted an announcement that membership of RuneVillage had reached 50,000. The news was greeted with enthusiasm and a mix of wonder at what the future holds coupled with a feeling that it has outgrown it’s ‘Villageness’. Maybe it has become a less personal place but that doesn’t mean the people we know are any different. People who come here tend to stay and whilst they are not all active posters in the forums, they know the quality of the services provided are here waiting. With 94 replies to date since it’s posting, the thread has attracted many members to voice their congratulations and the usual smattering of nonsense and humour which is what makes this place such a great one to be.
From it’s beginnings back in November 2002, the Village has continued to grow and develop at an amazing pace and we now stand at over a quarter of a million topics as well!
We have seen many changes over the years and famous members have come and gone but the Village remains and journeys in it’s own way. It is a testament to our credibility that Jagex give us interviews and many of our mods and admins are noticed by their staff and become player and forum mods.
Well done Runevillage, lets see what the next few years bring.
