Kebabs!

It's back. I didn't think this would happen, but, alas, Jagex has decided to release a new kebab: the Extra Hot kebab. These can be bought at the same place as the normal kebabs. Well, I had my old friend, Chip C Jones (whom you may remember helping me on the first kebab article) ,go stand in the hot desert and eat these kebabs. Below are the results:

hp healed = number of kebabs (percentage of total kebabs)

+9 = 9 (100.00%)

Quite obviously, these heal +9 all the time( I would have done a bit more on this, but after 9 consecutive 9's, I figured this is more than likely a constant.)

Now, obviously, I wouldn't waste your time and mine (or, for that matter, hiker's bandwidth) on such a trivial thing. However, if you recall, I made a statement in the first article:

Is this now true?

Here's the raw data from the original experiment:

hp healed = number of kebabs (percentage of total kebabs)

-4 = 2 (1.96%)
-3 = 4 (3.92%)
+0 = 6 (5.88%)
+6 = 71 (69.62%)
+9 = 8 (7.84%)
+13 = 11 (10.78%)

Adding the total number of hp healed(621) and dividing it by the total number of kebabs(102) yields us 6.09 average hitpoints healed per gp spent. The Extra Hot kebabs seem to always heal +9, but cost 2gp, which gives us 4.5hp per gp.

These conclusions lead me to believe the normal kebabs are a better use of your money. However, do you want to risk the possible (though unlikely) chance that you will be hurt? It is your money, and you decide how to spend it. The choice is, ultimately, up to you. You are armed with the facts, use them as you will.

In other news, I have recently discovered a new kebab healing: the Amazing kebab. A chance of the normal kebab, this restores about 16hp, while giving you +2 to attack, strength, and defense.

Special Thanks To: Chip C Jones for standing out in the desert and eating the kebabs for me and Neverpure Nayr for telling me about the extra hot kebabs - never would have known about them if it wasn't for you.
