King Lathas and Bob the Cat

An Objective Analysis

Work ethic King Lathas – Walks in circles, not doing anything except demanding other people to solve his problems for him.
Bob – Travels the world of RuneScape, braving fierce monsters and nosey adventurers. Some claim to have seen Bob taking on everything from goblins to dragons. Either way, the fact that he actually moves shows that he does more work than Lathas.
It’s necessary to criticize inept leadership, so as to facilitate change. History clearly shows us what happens when dynasties monopolize power. Here, we’re comparing the scheming King Lathas of Ardounge to Bob, a common cat.
Winner: Bob

Leadership skills King Lathas – Is behind a conspiracy to fake a plague for all of Western Ardounge, erecting a wall and containing the residents within, destroying people’s livelihoods.
Bob – Minds his own business.
Winner: Bob:

Sense of Fashion King Lathas – Wears a ridiculous outfit and a silly paper crown.
Bob – Is completely naked.
Winner: Bob

Pedigree King Lathas – Is descended from a long line of rulers that no one really knows anything about.
Bob – Is apparently a deity.
Winner: Bob

Charisma King Lathas – Doesn’t give speeches, doesn’t make a good first impression, isn’t very articulate.
Bob – Requires an amulet to be spoken to, otherwise he is unintelligible.
Winner: Bob

Bob beats out Lathas on five traits integral for anyone in a leadership position, and he’s only a cat. It doesn’t come as any surprise that Kandarin is rife with thieves, bandits, murderers, barbarians, necromancers, zombies, ghosts, and religious fundamentalists, all of which live freely on the surface. What kind of king can’t keep a kingdom so small it can be traversed on foot in less than an hour from falling apart?
