Dancer

I came upon a hidden glade
juxtapose the sea
the waves were crashing on the shore
an eloquent harmony
o'er the azure waters, a sapphire eye
the moon's glow did gleam
and a silver glow engulfed
the air as entering a dream
but the water, not alone
in the moon's gaze was above
for dancing into my sight
a girl graceful as a dove
as carelessly she danced on
silver illuminates her skin
and a gold that doth melt myself
worked it's way within
her hair, red
in the stars, did burn
and flickered with
each dancers turn
And as I stood there
the world stood still
a timeless land
no roosters trill
could wake me from
the dream I'd found,
there no longer was
a homeward bound
but her eyes, as pearls
of her soul
on my mind
soon took their toll
my heart, once ice
now melted, hot
with her eyes as
forgetmenot

my heart, o heart
beat on ye cask
for you haven't lost your task

o love, my love
part from me not
for it's you i've ever sought

you now upon my heart's throne sit
do not away from me commit

but as she came she soon had parted
and once again I had started
to wander again, but she'd haunt me evermore
till you walked up to my door.
