You Can Never Be Taken Away

No matter how much they want to take you away
You will never be gone from my mind.
For the stars in the sky shall fade to gray
When your light with me does bind.
Astronomers and scientists cannot explain the time
It took for you to make your way
Into my primordial slime.
So to you I wish a farewell speech
O stand-out-from-the-rest.
To Pluto, the best planet of all –
Give those fakers my best.

This poem is dedicated to Pluto, whose Appreciation Day is March 13th. You may not be a planet anymore, but you're still my favorite piece of junk floating around the Sun <3
